Intern
For those looking for an opportunity to gain meaningful professional experience, we offer a variety of volunteer internship opportunities in various fields. In addition, those interested in an internship should browse through our volunteer opportunities, as we can craft an internship according to your interests.

Internship positions currently include:
  • Youth Development Activity Leaders:  Come out to camp and lead groups (youth to adult) in tie-dyeing, “philosopher hide-and-seek," night hikes, night orienteering, star gazing, campfire (stories, song, s’mores), water ecology and many other activities!
     
  • CCC Mentor/Coach:  Assist teens in Wyman Teen Leadership Program by following progress, advising and mentoring. Focus with teens will be on school, resource development, career exploration and community service. Guidance will be given to teens on determining next steps and setting goals. 
     
  • Marketing Intern/TOP:  Assist in gathering marketing research for TOP (Teen Outreach Program) and other Wyman Institute programs. Tasks will include market surveys, prospecting for potential customers, developing marketing strategies and much more.
     
  • Development and Fundraising:  Assist with the planning and implementation of the Naming Sponsorship Project. Tasks range from researching and developing  a logic model/marketing plan to prospecting for potential sponsorship donors. 
     

  • Public Relations and Communication:  This opportunity will provide a variety of experiences in the communication field. Opportunities include: tracking and archiving media coverage, assisting with newsletter production, drafting press releases and assisting with donor relations.
     

  • Special Events Coordination:  Assist in planning, coordination and event management for several special events hosted by Wyman. Duties may include creating event programs, managing mailings, coordinating volunteers, overseeing event set-up and much more (summer only).
     

  • Marketing/Recruitment – Volunteer Resources:  Assist in surveying the community and identifying potential volunteer recruitment sources, developing recruitment tools/brochures, and creating and implementing a recruitment/marketing plan.
     

  • Group Sales/Marketing:  Assist in gathering marketing research for Group Sales. Tasks will include creation of market surveys, marketing brochures, and informational and comprehensive brochures.
     

  • CCC Researcher:  Utilizing information gathered from a variety of sources, analyze the effectiveness and outcomes of programs and tools utilized by the Wyman Teen Leadership Program when working with teens in respect to career and education.
